To celebrate the paperback release of her acclaimed debut novel, The Year of the Gadfly, Jennifer Miller is embarking on a project dubbed “The Month of the Gadfly.” In July, Miller will attempt to set the world record for the most book clubs visited in a month, with a goal of speaking to 100 groups in just 30 days. With the help of Togather, an events platform that helps bring authors and audiences together, Miller is appearing at several bookstores on the East Coast, as well as talking to book clubs around the country via online chats. Each club member will receive a signed bookplate and entry into the Book-Club-In-A-Box Giveaway that includes some of Miller’s favorite goodies. Additionally, each organizer will get a free copy of the novel. Any group with five members or more is eligible to partake and will be mentioned in the official RecordSetter.com page. Visit Miller’s Togather page (http://www.togather.com/jennifermiller) to propose an event and get involved in this exciting challenge.
